Recent Risk Management Assignments
Several significant assignments, including;
Responsible for managing a major facilities upgrade for a large Victorian plastic film and Multiflex printer to make the premise acceptable for Property Insurance purposes. Project included; fire sprinkler system and water supply upgrade, removal of polystyrene insulation and panels and replacement with noncombustible products, preparation and introduction of Loss Control procedural controls, introduction of Business Continuity Planning, plus resolution of other Risk Management issues on an ongoing basis.
Assist a large Victorian meat processing organisation with acceptability of facilities for Property Insurance purposes; including management of polystyrene panel issues, upgrading fire protection, introduction of Loss Control procedural controls and Business Continuity Planning, plus resolution of other risk management issues on an ongoing basis.
Assist a Sydney aerosol and flammable health care products manufacture with preparation of Risk Management specifications/protection guidelines for a new production area, plus upgrading existing fire protection systems to provide an acceptable level of protection.
Assist a Western Australian meat processing plant with writing the specification for installation of fire detection and EWIS systems throughout the premises, assist with management of polystyrene panel issues, and introduction of Loss Control procedural controls.
Property Risk Management Consultant assisting with risk management issues associated with the planning and design of a new copper mining facility in West Africa. Project includes a high hazard Solvent Extraction Plant. Responsibilities include; reviewing the initial project and establishing Property Risk Management Guidelines.
Responsible for the risk analysis, selection, and installation of a fire protection system in a Winder MCC at a large mining facility.
Project Risk Management Consultant to a new mining facility in WA, which includes an SX Plant. Responsibilities included; reviewing the initial project, verification of fire protection system design, and fire system commissioning.
On a partnership basis with Munich Reinsurance assist with organising, and running a series of 2-day residential "Fundamentals of Risk Management" conferences in Sydney, Melbourne, and Auckland. Rowland Bell was responsible for approximately half of the presentations and workshops.
Business Continuity Planning. Preparation of Business Continuity Plans for a major vehicle component manufacturer, abattoir, printer, and a manufacturing and services group.
Assist with establishment of a combined Property, Public Liability and Machinery Breakdown Loss Control Program for a major Australian Corporation with a large portfolio of commercial and industrial risks. Complete a series of combined property, Public Liability, and Machinery Breakdown surveys throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Completed several Loss Control reports for the London Market, including a water authority and steel mill.
